Member Information Notice Within the Scope of Personal Data Protection Law

This Notice has been prepared by JONGLOR Foreign Trade Limited Company (hereinafter referred to as ‘Company’ or ‘JONGLOR’) in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (‘Law’) and the Communiqué on Procedures and Principles to be Followed in Fulfilling the Obligation of Disclosure. It aims to inform you about your personal data that may be processed by us during and due to your membership if you become a member of the website www.ewela.co (‘Site’), our personal data collection and processing methods, our purposes and legal reasons, to whom your personal data may be transferred, and your rights according to Article 11 of the Law.

Your Personal Data We Process and Our Personal Data Processing Purposes

The personal data we will process due to your membership to the Site and during your membership are generally;

Identity data (your name-surname, your Turkish ID number if necessary),

Contact data (address, mobile phone number, home phone number, e-mail address),

Transaction security data (password information, log records and IP information, user information, etc.),

Customer transaction data (shopping date, time, amount, shopping content, payment method and payment details, your requests, suggestions and complaints if you communicate them),

Marketing data (if you optionally choose to share: date of birth, gender, province, district, demographic information, approaches to notifications / surveys / offers / campaigns within the Site, habits, favorites, likes, behaviors, preferences, search movements, past purchases,
cookie records, cookie and advertising identifier information and device ID, payment methods and preferences, communication preferences, survey answers, etc.)

Our Company, in line with the general principles in Article 4 of the Law, processes your personal data that it collects for legitimate purposes and in connection with the purpose, often for;

Establishing your membership, recording your member information, verifying your logins,

Fulfilling the requirements of the membership agreement,

Enabling more functional login and shopping on the Site without the need to re-enter all membership information,

Updating your information that you will provide during membership processes or through other channels to JONGLOR and/or updating the information you will change later for all your memberships, thus fulfilling our obligation to keep your personal data up-to-date,

Managing the Site, improving services provided to users, enhancing user experiences, eliminating security vulnerabilities on the Site and resolving errors on the website as quickly as possible,

Receiving your comments, suggestions and requests about our products, your experiences and content shared on the Site, evaluating them, responding when necessary and communicating with you,

Measuring preferences and likes, conducting analytical studies, planning advertisements and announcements,

Carrying out JONGLOR’s advertising and marketing/communication activities (notifications on the Site, pop-up display, offers, customization of user screens, surveys, etc.),

Conducting studies to improve customer experience and planning, analysis and business development studies related to operational processes,

Carrying out marketing activities such as segmentation, profiling, reporting, marketing and analysis studies,

Fulfilling our contractual obligations such as completing the shopping transaction, order preparation, packaging, preparing delivery note, shipping, updating delivery information, delivering the product to you,

Carrying out post-sale operational processes (return, product review, etc.),

Fulfilling finance and accounting transactions such as issuing invoices, e-invoices,

Conducting storage and archiving activities,

Security of data controller operations,

Fulfilling our obligations arising from current legislation,

Providing information to authorized persons, institutions and organizations when necessary, in accordance with the law and rules of honesty, for specific, clear and legitimate purposes.

Our Methods of Collecting Your Personal Data and Our Legal Reasons

Your personal data is collected online during your visits to the Site for the purposes mentioned above, and in written and electronic form if you communicate during these visits.

Your personal data is processed based on the following articles of the Law; 5/2 (a) clause regulated “explicitly stipulated by laws”, 5/2 (c) clause regulated “necessary for the establishment or performance of a contract”, 5/2 (ç) clause regulated “necessary for the data controller to fulfill its legal obligation”, 5/2 (e) clause regulated “necessary for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right”, 5/2 (f) clause regulated “necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject” based on one or more of the reasons for compliance with the law and, where necessary, by obtaining “your explicit consent” in accordance with Article 5/1 of the Law, are collected and processed.

To Whom Can We Transfer Your Personal Data?

When necessary, your personal data may be transferred to third parties located within the country in connection with the processing purposes mentioned above and in accordance with Article 8 of the Law. In this direction, your personal data may be transferred to parties whose services we use, such as information technology service providers, market research companies, outsource service providers, hosting service providers, cargo and logistics service providers, legal counsel, research companies, and to courts, enforcement offices, and other authorized persons, institutions, and organizations as required by legal and official requests. If this transfer is to be made to a party located abroad, it will be carried out within the conditions specified in Article 9 of the Law.

Necessary technical and administrative measures are taken by our Company to prevent rights violations that may occur during data transfer.

Your Rights Under Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law

Pursuant to Article 11 of the Law, you have the following rights:

To learn whether your personal data is being processed,

To request information if it has been processed,

To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with its purpose,

To know the third parties to whom it is transferred domestically or abroad,

To request correction if it is processed incompletely/incorrectly,

To request its deletion or destruction within the required conditions,

To request that the transactions made regarding your rights to correction, deletion, and destruction mentioned above be notified to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred,

To object to the occurrence of a result against you by analyzing your processed personal data exclusively through automated systems,

To request compensation for damages if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.

You can submit your requests regarding your personal data by:

  • Sending to İkitelli O.S.B. Pikdökümciler San.Sit. A-3 Blok No:1 Başakşehir İstanbul address,
  • Applying in person with a valid identity document,
  • Sending to our Registered Electronic Mail (KEP) address using a registered electronic mail (KEP) address and secure electronic signature,
  • Sending an e-mail from your e-mail address registered in our system to our musteri@ewela.co address.

In your applications;

  • Name, surname, and signature if the application is written,
  • If the applicant is a Turkish citizen, T.R. identity number, if foreign nationality, nationality information and passport number or foreign identity number if available,
  • Residence or workplace address for notification,
  • E-mail address, phone and/or fax number for notification, if any, and
  • Requests subject to the application should be clearly stated.

Information and documents related to the subject should be attached to the application. Our Company has the right to request information and documents from the applicant to determine whether the person making the application is the Data Subject, and to ask questions to the Data Subject about their application in order to clarify the requests and information contained in the application. Your request will be answered and finalized as soon as possible, in any case within 30 days at the latest.
